Lois Mary Downs

Lois Mary Downs is a textile design consultant and creator from Scotland. She studied in the Scottish borders, with a period of time in Finland specialising in Printed Textiles. She predominantly focuses on hand-painted artworks starting from original source and follows the process through to final product ranging from jacquard, embroidered and printed fabrics for both fashion and Interior furnishings. She finds inspiration in the vibrant colours of nature and the world around her.
